English: Lieutenant Colonel Neville Bowes Elliott-Cooper VC., DSO., MC. Royal Fusiliers. Youngest son of Sir Robert Elliott-Cooper K.C.B., and Great Grandson of Captain J. Elliott RN of Elliott House, Ripon.
He died a prisoner of war in Hanover on 11 February 1918, from wounds received in action near Cambrai on 30 November 1917, where for Conspicuous Bravery and Devotion to Duty he was awarded the Victoria Cross. He was buried in the military cemetery at Limmer, near Hanover. Aged 29. |
