[edit]
Description
English: Memorial avenue, St Nicholas Park, Warwick A sinuous avenue of Copper Beech (Fagus sylvatica 'Purpurea') commemorates Warwick people who fell in World War I. They were planted in 1933, the year the park was formally opened. The park was formerly St Nicholas Meadow. On the ground, between the trees, one can still see traces of ridge and furrow.
