Description
English: Memorial Tower, Fartown Cricket Ground This memorial tower (a clock tower until the clock was removed because of vandalism) stands at the entrance to the Fartown (formerly St John's), Huddersfield cricket ground. It celebrates The Mighty Triumvirate (Hirst, Rhodes and Haigh) who were among the greatest of all cricketers and who were born in or near the town. This picture was taken on the exact 50th anniversary of the last day of first-class play at the ground (19/8/2005).
