I cant fay howthe Officer got home afterwards; but he was never feenin Naples again. The Marchionefs, upon her Return,was puzzled how to manage the Affair fo as to falve herReputation. But the Negro was immediately clapt intoa Dungeon, and threatend hard, if (he would not tellwho brought her into my Lady*s Chamber, infomuchthat, at lall, fhe nam.ed me ; and then the Matter was-hufhd all of a fudden.
