| Description |
Melting snow has pooled at the bottom of the slope and is draining across the path from the car park into the lower end of the golf course. There is a ditch behind the photographer, but the land doesn't slope directly to it. Eight of the first ten days of February have had falling snow, with intervening thaws, with the result that the ground is sodden. The Memorial Park, Coventry, West Midlands, was opened in 1921 as a tribute to the fallen of the first world war, with many of the trees having dedications to individuals who died in that and subsequent conflicts. |
