Au début du 20e siècle, le roi Édouard VII tombe sous le charme des melons cultivés sur les terres d’Anatole Décarie à Notre-Dame-de-Grâce. Pendant trois générations, la famille Décarie perfectionne l’art de cultiver les melons à Montréal. Ces fruits exceptionnels allant jusqu’à 7 kilos acquièrent une excellente réputation jusque dans les hôtels chics de New York et de Boston!
