Description
English: TinStix of Dynamite! Melissa Pemberton side-slips over Avalon’s Rwy 18 in Zivko Edge 540 VH-IIG Cn 0019 (with Skip Stewart in Pitts S-2S Special N540S at rear), while Rich Gibson’s trademark ‘Wall of Fire’ makes a spectacular fiery backdrop. I could feel the heat from the crowd-line, so the pilots must feel like toast, when flying so close to the flames. This photo was taken at the 2013 Avalon International Airshow on Friday 01Mar2013. (VH-IIG was built in 1998, and First registered in Australia on 20Nov2008.)
