Deutsch: Vorderseite: ANDREAS MVSCVLVS DOCTOR AETA : SV : 61 AN 1575 [AE ligiert]. Barhäuptiges Brustbild des Andreas Musculus mit einem langen geteilten Bart, im Mantel mit Pelzkragen, leicht nach rechts gewandt.

Rückseite: VIVIT IN - ME CHRISTVS [Der Geist Christi lebt in mir]. Christus am Kreuz, darüber INRI, links ein Kelch, der das Blut auffängt, rechts das Gotteslamm.

Kommentar: Vergoldete Medaille mit Öse und Kettenwerk. Gesamtmasse 70x32 mm, Durchmesser ohne Kette 32 mm. - Andreas Musculus (auch Andreas Meusel, 1514-1581) studierte in Leipzig. 1538 ging er nach Wittenberg. Er folgte einer Empfehlung nach Frankfurt (Oder) und wurde dort ordentlicher Professor der Theologie und Generalsuperintendent der Mark Brandenburg. Als geistlicher Berater stand er den Kurfürsten Joachim II. und Johann Georg zur Seite. Er war Besitzer des Junkerhauses in Frankfurt an der Oder, heute Sitz des Museums Viadrina. Die Medaille gibt das Porträt des Andreas Musculus nach einem Holzschnitt des Friedrich Franz von 1573 wieder.
