Mein und Dein [Kiel 2008/06]

2008 stellte die Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft eine der größten privaten Mega-Yachten der Welt fertig. Sie erhielt den Namen "A" nach dem ersten Buchstaben des Vornamens der Frau des Eigners Andrei Melnitschenko, Aleksandra. Das Design stammt von dem französischen Designer Philippe Starck (Innendesign) und dem französischen Designbüro Martin Francis. Die äußere Form des 99 m langen und ca. 200 Millionen Euro teuren Schiffes erinnert stark an die Zerstörer der Zumwalt-Klasse der US Navy.

Die Yacht besitzt drei Aufzüge, eine Eignersuite und 6 Gästesuiten. Das Schiff wird von zwei 20-Zylinder MAN Diesel-Motoren mit je 9 000 kW Leistung angetrieben. Die Maximalgeschwindigkeit liegt bei 23 Knoten. Der Tankinhalt von 757 000 Liter Marinedieselöl reicht bei einer Reisegeschwindigkeit von 19 Knoten für eine Strecke von ca 6 500 Seemeilen.
