Description
Afrikaans: 'n Meetkundige getalpatroon bestaande uit stawe en vierkante lewer 'n getalry. Die verskille vir opeenvolgende getalpare in die ry word bereken. Daar word bevind dat die "eerste verskille" nie identies is nie, maar dat die "tweede verskille" wel konstant is, wat 'n kwadratiese oplossing suggereer vir enige getal Tn in die ry. Die kwadratiese oplossing word op drie verskillende maniere uitgedruk.
English: A geometric number pattern consisting of bars and squares produces a number sequence. The differences for successive number pairs in the sequence are calculated. It is found that the "first differences" are not identical, but the "second differences" are constant, which suggests a quadratic solution for any number Tn in the sequence. The quadratic solution is shown, expressed in three different ways.
