Description

During a day in October 1945 that we had no assignents, Jack Davis and I drove north from Seoul to the 38th Parallel across into North Korea where we met the Russian soldiers. We wore "War Photographer" shoulder patches and had no problem getting past the U.S border guards. Across about a mile of what's now called the DMZ were the Ruyssian soldiers. They were friendly and we took stills and movies of each other with them.

Additional Russians are in this photo as compared to the one I posted earlier. As I recall, they had recently been fighting in Manchuriia,
