Title
medievalasymmetricalbuckle
Description
English: Cast copper alloy double loop asymmetrical buckle, dating to the late medieval to post medieval period (c AD1400-1600). The buckle is asymmetrical with two sub-oval loops, one larger than the other, separated by an off-centre curved integral bar. At one end of the buckle the frame forms a subtle projection tip. The bar is recess to accommodate the pin which is still intact and twisted around the bar. The object has a patchy dark green patina and is in good condition.
