Description
English: Body sherd from an earthenware Radcliffe Ware (Bristol) jug of Medieval date c. 1200 - 1500 AD. The sherd is relatively small with unabraded edges The fabric is a hard earthenware: it is mica rich, having frequent white quartz and grit-like inclusions as well as sparse grog (crushed pottery) inclusions. The fabric is a matt grey colour. The exterior surface is an oxidised reddish brown colour. A mottled green coloured glaze has been applied / splashed onto the exterior surface.

The sherd measures 47.2mm length, 45.3mm width, is 4.9mm thick weighs 9.15 grams.
