Description
English: A socket from a cast copper alloy late medieval candlestick. The socket tapers slightly and is decorated with three bands of circumferential rings. Below the socket, the stem narrows and then opens out into a moulding. In the base of the moulding is the broken remains of the bar, which has a diameter of 7.93mm, and would have attached the socket to the base of the candlestick. The external diameter of the socket is 20.66mm at the top and 12.77mm and the bottom, the surviving length of the object is 41.95mm and the weight is 34.1g.
