Medieval to post-medieval double-oval buckle
Description
English: A copper-alloy double-oval buckle of suggested mid 14th to mid 17th century AD date (R. Whitehead; 1996; pp. 53).

Both sides of the frame are roughly D-shaped and have a convex upper surface and flat underside. The axis bar is of semi-circular section and the pin is missing. The buckle is not flat, but bent upwards slightly either side of the axis bar.

The object measures 27.1mm long, 21.6mm wide and 2.7mm thick. The weight is 3.84g.
