Title
Medieval to post-Medieval double-oval buckle
Description
English:

A copper-alloy double-oval buckle, probably dating from the Late Medieval to early post-Medieval periods.

The symmetrical frame has two 'D-shaped' sides and a central axis bar which has a projecting knop at either end. The upper surface of the frame is convex and slopes downwards and outwards. The underside is flat. The pin is missing and the buckle is corroded. It measures 30.3mm long, 17.4mm wide, 2.1mm thick and weighs 3g.
