Medieval to post-Medieval double-oval buckle
Description
English: A copper-alloy double-oval buckle, dating from the Late Medieval to early post-Medieval periods.

The symmetrical frame has two 'D-shaped' sides. The upper surfaces are convex, the underside flat and the axis bar is of thin section and has attached iron corrosion from the otherwise missing pin. The buckle measures 21.9mm long, 17.7mm wide, 3.2mm thick and weighs 1.79g.
