Medieval to Post Medieval candle holder
Description
English: Late medieval or early post-medieval incomplete copper alloy candlestick. Straight sided circular socket tapering sharply to the circular-sectioned, hollow stem, broken imediately after a collar. The Socket is decorated externally with a single turned line at the top and bottom edge with a pair of median lines. The tapering below the socket has two very slight moulded collars. The socket is now slight distorted.

External diameter of socket 21mm. Internal diameter of socket 16mm. Height of socket 25.5mm. Surviving height 62mm.

15th - 16th century AD.
