Medieval to Post-Medieval Double Loop Oval Buckle
Description
English: A fragment of a copper alloy medieval to post-medieval (AD c.1350-1650) double loop oval buckle, missing one of its loops, its strap bar, pin, plate and part of the surviving frame. Overall, it measures 12.8mm long, 24.5mm wide and 3.4mm thick. It weighs 1.95g. The frame expands on the outer side of the loop and has a rectangular area of raised decoration consisting of diagonal grooves forming a lozenge shape.
