Title
Medieval spindle whorl
Description
English: A lead medieval spindle whorl. Cast biconical, with central moulded aperture of 9.4 mm. One face has a series of lines in relief around it, which appear to form a five pointed star, with a single pellet between each section. See YORYM-7D3D07 for a similar whorl. The other side has what appears to be just a random series of raised lines.

Biconical spindle whorls are normally attributed to the medieval period. Overall, the object measures 28.6 mm in diameter and 9.9 mm thick. It weighs 35.55 g.
