Medieval spindle whorl
Description
English: A complete lead spindle whorl of late medieval to early post-medieval date (c. AD 1400-1600). The spindle whorl is biconical and decorated with irregularly-spaced, radial, overlapping ribs and one raised pellet in each segment on one side, and evenly-spaced pellets alternating in two rows on the other. The perforation is 10.01mm in diameter.  The spindle whorl is characteristic of the Walton-Rogers C2 type (cf. <a href="https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/992430">LVPL-1476EF</a>, <a href="https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/988831">SWYOR-5AB6F4</a>). 

Diameter: 27.30mm, thickness: 11.70mm, weight: 31.82g.
