Title
Medieval single loop buckle
Description
English: An incomplete medieval copper-alloy single-loop buckle dating to the period c. AD 1250-1400. The pin is missing. The frame is broadly D-shaped with a recessed pin-bar. The outer edge of the buckle features a recessed space with a central groove which would have acted as the pin rest flanked by a further groove on either side. This is in turn flanked by two lobed knops.

The buckle measures 21.87mm in length, 19.76mm in width and is 4.05mm thick at its thickest point and 1.37mm at its narrowest point. It weighs 3.38g.
