Description
English: Late medieval/ early post-medieval silver hawking vervel.

The object is intact, consisting of a 'shield' shaped plate sitting in front of a flattened rectangular sectioned loop. It is decorated with an incised motif resembling a 'Staffordshire' knot, above which sit the initials I S for the hawk's owner.
