Medieval scabbard chape
Description
English: A damaged, undecorated, copper alloy scabbard chape dating to the late medieval or early post-medieval period (c. AD 1400-1600). 

The chape is formed of a single sheet, with a clearly visible seam. In section, it is sub-rectangular, and tapers from the opening to the tip. The chape has an uneven green patina, and several areas of damage; two holes (one in the side and one in the tip), and a break at the opening edge. 

Length: 45.29mm, width: 12.74mm, weight: 8.97g.
