Title
Medieval ring brooch (reverse)
Description
English: Very small cast copper alloy ring brooch dating from the medieval period, that is the 14th or 15th century. The brooch is small and very worn, but survives complete with its pin. The pin sits in a recess of the frame and cannot slide around the frame freely. The frame is circular and is decorated with mouldings of different sizes. There are four larger, oval mouldings and smaller circular ones in between the larger mouldings. It appears that there was some surface decoration like stippling or possibly moulded lines or dots. However, the surface is very worn and the decoration cannot be identified for certain.
