Medieval ring brooch
Description
English: Copper alloy ring brooch, flat sectioned hoop 5.8 x 1.8mm with incised lines along both of its edges between which is a zone decorated with radial lines executed with rocked tracer. The pin is formed from sheet metal and located in two opposed notches on the inner, and outer, edges of the ring. In London similar brooches were found in contexts dated to 1270-1400 (Egan and Pritchard, 1991, Nos 1318, 1336, 1337).
