Medieval padlock
Description
English: Medieval incomplete padlock, corroded, facetted circular-sectioned hollow rectangular case, irregular vertical opening for key at end with perforated vertical flat-sectioned arm projecting from upper face with stump of missing parallel bar, other end with damaged opening with vertical sub-division. Base decorated with incised longitudinal wavy line with shorter dashes between. 30 x 22mm. Cf. Egan (1998), fig.66, no.244 and Hen Domen (2000), nos.111-112. 12th-13th century.
