Description
English: An incomplete cast copper alloy Medieval or Post Medieval double loop oval buckle. The remains of the buckle consist of the simple plain double loop buckle frame with narrowed strap bar and bevelled edge. The pin is missing. The buckle frame measures 23.5mm long, 18.9mm wide, 2.3mm thick and it weighs 3.01 grams. Similar example are illustrated in Whitehead 2003, pp 53-54, which date c.1350 - 1650 AD.
