Medieval lead alloty spindle whorl
Description
English: Medieval lead alloy spindle whorl, 13mm thick and 29mm in diameter with a weight of 45.80grams.

The whorl is circular in form and bi-conical in cross section. It has a central hole 10mm in diameter. It has a prominent flat central ridge and each face has raised decoration in the form of chevrons arranged to form a 'star' pattern with dots in between.

The form fits Walton Rogers form C which she dates to 1100 onwards.
