Summary

[edit]
Description

This window is located on the north side of the chancel, and consists of glass dating from the 14th century. The left light shows Saint Christopher at the top with the Christ Child on his shoulder. Eve is depicted below and sits on a stool spinning with a distaff and shuttle. The right-hand light has, at the top, St Blaise with a Crozier. The right-hand is lost. At his feet is a pig, probably related to the legend where he restored the pig, who had been seized by a wolf, to a poor woman. When he was later imprisoned, she bought him candles to light his dark cell. At the bottom of the right hand light is Adam digging with a spade (similar to an image at Canterbury Cathedral).

At the top of the window is the shield of Boselingthorpe. (Buslingthorpe, Lincs).
