English: Medieval earthenware pottery vessel sherds x3.

1. Upper body sherd from a large round?-bodied storage vessel, 14th/15th century? Highly fired reduced-fired, purplish fabric, very hard, sharp breaks, grey pimply surfaces, numerous cream/white inclusions (c.0.1mm-0.5mm), scarce non-crystalline red inclusions c.0.5mm-1mm, scarce non-cystalline cream inclusions (c.2mm), scarce iron-rich black pellets (c.0.5mm-1mm), one large ?quartz inclusion just breaking the surface (c.3mm). Weight 25.33g.

2. Body sherd from a cooking pot. Oxidised-fired orange sandy fabric (Derbyshire sandy ware?), heavily sooted on the outer surface, 13th-15th century. Numerous quartz sand inclusions and mica. Weight 17.84g.

3. Body sherd, yellow-green glazed on the outer surface, 13th-15th century. Fine fabric with mica, large void on the outer surface (7mm x 2.5mm); one non-crystalline black inclusion (2mm), one non-crystalline red inclusion (1mm). Weight 2.02g.
