Medieval dagger pommel
Description
English: A copper alloy dagger or knife pommel of medieval to post-medieval date, c. AD 1400-1600. The object is circular in plan and domed in section, with a drilled, slightly counter-sunk central hole, 3.1mm in diameter. It is decorated with 16 incised grooves radiating from the central perforation to the outer rim, creating a multi-foil pattern. The back is flat and undecorated. Around the central perforation is a square depression, 5.4mm wide.

Diameter 19.6mm, thickness 5.3mm, weight 9.1g. Cf. <a href="https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/962369">PUBLIC-743E4B</a>.
