Medieval copper alloy padlock
Description
English: Incomplete copper alloy barrel padlock. The lock is incomplete and comprises approximately half of its hollow octagonal tube. There is a rectangular slot at the complete end, and an irregular double-oval opening at the incomplete end. Beneath the rectangular slot projects a flat rectangular plate with a hole in the centre. A small incomplete shank projects from the plate at a right angle.
