Medieval copper alloy ewer spout
Description
English: Medieval copper alloy vessel spout in the form of a dogs head, 64mm long, 45mm wide and 14mm thick. The object is in fair condition with and weighs 38.90grams. The object is a ewer spout and consists of a rectangular sectioned dogs head with a cylindrical tube emerging from its mouth. The face is represented by a stylised ridge for mouth and eyes and rectangular ears at the sides. The spout emerges from behind the head and is crescentric and has a large open area sloping towards the head.
