Medieval copper alloy ewer spout
Description
English: late Medieval copper alloy ewer spout, 59.4 mm long, 19.6mm wide and 16mm thick. The spout is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 55 grams. The spout has an L shaped profile. One end is U shaped in section and tapers to a point, while the other end is circular in section and is in the form of a dogs head. His mouth has a circular tube protruding from it, forming the spout and he has long, oval shaped ears on the side of his head and a small ridge running down its top.
