Description
English: Medieval copper alloy barb-spring barrel padlock, Length: 40 mm, width: 23 mm, thickness: 9 mm, weight: 12.31 g.rams.

The object is largely intact and consists of a hollow hexagonal tube which has faint traces of decoration in the form of rows of circular stamps contained within an incised transverse border, c 5mm away from the edge top and bottom . At one end the tube is partially enclosed with a plate that has a T shaped void. On one side just below this is a small rectangular plate to which is attached a long circular cross sectioned shaft which is slightly longer than the tube.
