Title
Medieval copper alloy D-shaped buckle
Description
English: Cast copper alloy single loooped D-shaped buckle dating to the 13th-15th centuries. It has a narrowed and offset strap bar and a lobed knob either end of the strap end. The pin is still present and is attached by being folded over the strap bar. It has broken before the point and so does not reach the other edge of the buckle. Similar examples can be seen on page 19 of Whiteheads book (2000).
