Title
Medieval coin weight: half noble
Description
English: A late medieval to early post medieval copper alloy coin weight, dating to c. 1400-1600.

A rounded uniface coin weight. The obverse shows a ship under sail, with the rigging clearly visible. The reverse is entirely plain. Withers and Withers (2011: 23) describe this type as dating to the 15th and 16th centuries, and the position of the die and weight suggest that it was used for the half noble coin.

15.9mm diameter, 4.3mm thickness, weight 6.32g.
