Title
Medieval coin : Penny of Edward I
Description
English: A silver penny of Edward I. Berwick upon Tweed mint. The coin is a mule of a Blunt class 1, (Withers type 1a) obverse with a Blunt class 2 (Withers type 2) reverse.

Struck from local dies. Both obverse and reverse dies have become worn and were probably rusty, giving a very poor strike as was common with these types of coins.
