Title
Medieval coin: penny of Edward III (possibly)
Description
English: A very worn, incomplete medieval silver long cross penny, probably of Edward III, post-treaty dating to c. AD 1369-1377. The coin is cut approximately in half, with a jagged and irregular edge which may be suggestive of a break rather than a clean cut to produce a half penny. No text can be read but saltire stops can be seen in obverse legend, tentatively suggesting North, 1994(2): no. 1293/4/5.
