Medieval coin: penny of Edward III
Description
English: A medieval silver penny of Edward III (1327-1335) dating to 1344-1351.

Third (Florin) coinage. North (2006: 46) Standard Type G no. 1123. Minted at Durham, no. 4 or possibly 5.

The coin is damaged around the upper perimeter of the obverse face, with approximately 10% of the total surface area missing. The surviving coin is worn with the king's face rather obscured.
