Medieval buckle plate
Description
English: A Medieval buckle plate dating c. AD 1300-1500. The two-layered plate is made from a single piece of sheet metal folded around a cutaway slot for a strap bar. It is triangular in shape an tapers along it length to a rounded terminal with a circular perforation through both layers. Fragments of the iron strap bar remain in the cutaway but the pin is missing.

The plate measures 27.09mm long, 10.62mm wide, 3.64mm thick and weighs 2.50 grams.
