Title |
Medieval buckle pin (probably) |
||
Description |
English: A cast copper-alloy pin now independent of its frame, probably from a medieval buckle. It is solidly cast, with a flat lower surface. One end has been looped round on itself. The other terminates in a rounded point. The upper surface of the pin has been bevelled on both edges. The possibility remains that this was a brooch pin. As the artefact is fairly undiagnostic a wide medieval date range is offered. |
