Description |
English: A Medieval copper alloy object fragment, possibly part of the terminal of a pin from a large buckle or more likely a brooch (circa 1066 - 1400 AD). The pin is plano-convex in section, broken at one end and tapers and curves to form a lipped terminal at the other. The lower surface is slightly undulating. The copper alloy has a dark green smooth patina that is black in places. Dimensions: length: 20.65mm; width: 7.29mm; thickness: 5.61mm; weight: 3.90g |
