Title
medieval buckle pin
Description
English: A copper-alloy buckle pin, independant of the rest of the buckle. The pin is large at 52 mm long and 3.5 mm thick. The loop is broken, although nearly complete. There is slightly ridged decoration at the grip, just before the loop. A very similar example is illustrated in Egan and Pritchard (1991, 115; fig 547). This artefact dates from the Medieval period, from around 1350 to 1400.
