Medieval buckle frame
Description
English: A copper-alloy buckle frame dating to the period AD 1250 to 1400. The buckle frame is oval in plan and has an ornate outer edge comprising two knops flanking a narrowed bar which would originally have accomodated a roller. The strap bar is narrowed and offset. The buckle frame measures 19mm in length, 24mm in width and 3mm in thickness.
