Medieval buckle (front, reverse)
Description
English: Cast copper-alloy buckle. Medieval. Mass: 3.1g, length: 21.2mm; width: 19.7mm . The buckle frame is sub-oval, almost D-shaped in plan, with a thick outer-edge and a narrowed bar. There is a notch for the pin on the front of the frame which runs around the outer edge and continues on the reverse. The pin is complete. There are finishing marks on the reverse of the frame.
