Medieval buckle
Description
English: A complete copper alloy medieval buckle frame and pin, dating from c.1270-1350 AD. The frame is D shaped with the outer frame wider than the two sides. The pin bar is slightly recessed, and protrudes slightly on one edge. The corners of the pin bar where it meets the frame are squared. The pin is a piece of copper alloy wire wrapped around the pin bar. The buckle has a green brown patina, and measures 11.2mm in length, 12.4mm in width, and weighs 0.63g.
