Title
Medieval buckle: Spectacle buckle
Description
English: A copper alloy double looped, 'spectacle' type buckle dating to the medieval period. The buckle is missing its pin but is otherwise complete. It is undecorated. These buckles were in use for a few hundred years so it is not always possible to date them accurately, however this example probably dates from c. AD 1350-1500.
