Medieval buckle: Single looped buckle
Description
English: A small copper-alloy buckle dating to the medieval period. The single looped buckle has two moulded knops on the outer edge of the frame, either side of two raised ribs and a central swelling.The narrowed strap bar is missing its pin, and possibly a plate as well. These buckles were in use for many decades and date to period c. AD 1250-1400.
